    Success; As we define....

Things aren't that different lately. They basically remain the same, just a bit low profile. But we can't keep wondering or feeling let down by what happened isn't it? After all, there ain't any sure recipe of living a successful life because success itself varies from person to person depending on their goals, ambitions, view, knowledge and their geographical location.

Well, yeah our geographical location plays very major role in contributing to the definition of successful life. In a country like India, and that too South India, success is defined on how much a man leave behind for the next generation to live a comfortable life. Whereas in some other geographical location, it's all about your achievements. So I guess being too much obsessed with living successful does not give us any solution; instead it adds misery and takes all the time we've got thinking about trivial things that does not make any sense.

Most of the time our definition of success is based on our envy of other person's achievements & fame. For example; when I read about someone who has earned name, wealth & fame for being successful in my age in certain field, that stirs something in me and thus I wish I had done something useful of the same lifespan I've lived. Finally I envy the other person for achieving that and I make my definition of success as - 'Earning Name, Fame & Money'.

So I guess, instead of defining success based on other person's life, or looking at others and envying, we just have to live our life doing things that gives us a greater satisfaction. Who knows, we might achieve a lot along the way. The more we become conscious of being successful, we stop enjoying our every day life and end up living with guilt feel of not achieving anything in our lifetime.

Till I see you all again; Rhonald

I have appreciated your blog and it is true that success is not what it seems...or just don't give anyone the sweet promised extasy it should bring.

I know people with great diplomas who does not know a shit in human relations and are always unhappy.

Some have a lot of money and then pooooof....uncurable sickness.

Success is taking decisions and making the best of it to feel good, it may or may not have to do with wealth.

I'd love to be your friend!

    Take care,
    Isa
